LP AMG, the "Absorbed Glass Mat," is the secret of Landport MF batteries. AMG is the technologically advanced design that makes fluid leakage from the Landport MF battery impossible. Specially developed plates and separators absorb the acid, eliminating the risk of acid leaking onto expensive components. Once filled, a Yuasa MF is virtually maintenance-free. To keep the battery "fresh" for as long as possible, it is shipped "dry," with the special acid (packed in the box) added at the time of use. Once filled with acid, the battery is permanently sealed, so you never have to top it up or check the acid level. Landport MF batteries have a longer lifespan than a conventional battery. Thanks to the lead-calcium design, an AGM battery retains its specific gravity up to three times longer than a conventional battery. This means a longer period between charges when the battery is in standby mode (e.g., winter storage).
