Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) Technology is an advanced battery design used in the Yuasa Batteries that eliminates water loss. Once the battery is filled with acid, the battery is permanently sealed - so you don't have to refill the battery with water or acid. Due to its design with lead calcium, the AGM battery will retain its specific properties three times longer than a normal conventional lead acid battery. This means much longer periods between maintenance when the battery is used in a backup mode, such as winter storage. And to stay factory fresh, the AGM battery is shipped dry along with its own acid pack, which is added at the time of installation. Filled with its own acid pack, the AGM battery is virtually maintenance free. It is completely sealed and all acid is absorbed in the special plates and separators, so you don't have to worry about leakage on valuable parts of the vehicle and its accessories.
