Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) Technology is an advanced battery design used in Yuasa batteries that eliminates water loss. Once filled with acid, the battery is permanently sealed—so you don't need to top it up with water or acid. Due to its lead-calcium design, the AGM battery will retain its specific properties three times longer than a normal, conventional lead-acid battery. This means much longer periods between maintenance when the battery is used in a backup mode, such as winter storage. And to remain factory-fresh, the AGM battery is shipped dry with its own acid pack, which is added at the time of installation. Filled with its own acid pack, the AGM battery is virtually maintenance-free. It is completely sealed, and all acid is absorbed into the special plates and separators, so you don't have to worry about leakage onto valuable parts of the vehicle and its accessories.
