Remus motorcycle exhausts

Remus started in 1990 with just five employees and many great ideas. Today, the family-owned company is the world market leader in sports exhausts, and does business in 60 countries around the world.
production
Remus uses the latest state-of-the-art machines to guarantee top quality for a global market. Modern machines, such as laser cutters, hydroforming and CNC-controlled tube bending machines combined with special processing techniques, guarantee products with exceptional shapes and perfect fit. Thin steel welding processes, in manual form and robotic control, play an important part in the production process of Remus high quality sports equipment systems. The know-how of the employees is an essential part of the production process and, together with convincing technology, forms the basis for an excellent product.
R&D
The Research & Development department plays an important factor within Remus. The foundations of any top quality exhaust system are a combination of acoustic, thermal and mechanical properties. Under the umbrella term "Sound Design" are the technologies for measuring and evaluating different acoustic sounds that have been developed and adapted to different customer requirements. The heart of the R&D center is the state-of-the-art acoustic sound room with a 4-wheel drive, which can simulate various parameters for cars and motorcycles. In addition, an in-house ISO certified heated pass-by test section for measuring the sound reflected from the acceleration of road vehicles. This allows all R&D processes to be carried out internally. The combination of modern research and development facilities, highly qualified personnel and the latest state-of-the-art machines ensures that Remus continues to dominate worldwide.
Sound Engineering
Due to tight legal regulations and more specific customer needs, it became quite difficult to develop the perfect sound. Much of the Remus engineering crew works on "Sound Design". In the Remus acoustic laboratory, the sound can be individually optimized, ranging from full racing sound to sonorous street sound. In this regard, customer specific sound is generated and digitally sent to the customers of the automotive, motorcycle or tuning industry. Highly qualified employees, state of the art technologies and multiple development loops allow not only the creation of the distinctive Remus sound, but also customer specific sounds. The acoustic test room offers the possibility to perform all acoustic measurements under standardized conditions. Apart from the striking isolation against all external noises, this chamber absorbs almost all sounds emitted directly by the measured object. This prevents reflections, echo and halt effects and ensures an adequate size. The room concept ensures that acoustic tests are carried out independently of the weather and under strict observance of confidentiality rules. These tests include measurement of noise from moving and stationary vehicles, internal and external sound quality measurements with head and torso simulator, as well as sound intensity measurements to determine the location of sound sources.
